Bal Krishna Laddu Gopal Idol

Laddu Gopal is not kept like an ordinary idol. He is dressed, fed, put to sleep — in a lot of homes he is treated as a child of the house rather than a statue on a shelf.

This is the crawling Bal Krishna form, the one most families start with. Small, hand-painted, and sized to sit on a chowki with room for the poshak and the jhula around him.

Use it for

• Janmashtami — the murti that gets bathed, dressed and rocked at midnight
• Daily seva in homes that keep Laddu Gopal properly
• A first Krishna murti for a newly set-up mandir
• Gifting at a wedding or a griha pravesh, where Bal Krishna is traditional

• Around 60 g — small scale, meant to be dressed rather than displayed alone

• Poshak, jhula and accessories are not included
• Wipe with a dry cloth; don't submerge a painted murti
