Buying pooja samagri online in India is a strange experience. You search for a diya and get four hundred identical listings from sellers with no name, photographed on a bedsheet, priced somewhere between ₹30 and ₹3,000 for what looks like the same thing. Half of them don't ship to your pincode. The ones that do arrive in a week, cracked.

Devghar started because that felt fixable.

What we do

We keep a small, deliberately narrow range — diyas and lamps, pooja thalis and samagri, idols and mandir pieces, agarbatti and dhoop. Not thousands of listings. A few dozen things a household actually uses, chosen because they hold up: a thali light enough to hold through a full aarti, an agarbatti stand that catches the ash instead of dropping it down the wall, a mandir that fits a flat with no pooja room.

Every product page tells you what the thing is for, when you'd use it, and what to expect — including where a handmade piece will differ from the photograph. We would rather you order once and be right than order twice.

How we work

We are a small operation based in Maharashtra. We source from established Indian suppliers, we ship across the country, and we price things clearly — free delivery over ₹999, ₹49 flat below it, and no charge that appears for the first time at checkout.

We offer cash on delivery with a 20% advance paid online. That advance is not us being difficult. It is what makes COD viable for a store this size, and it's why we can keep offering it at all.

Where the name comes from

Devghar — देवघर — means the house of god. It is also what a mandir in the corner of an ordinary Indian home really is. Har ghar, Devghar.
