Palo Santo is the South American "holy wood" traditionally burned to clear a space — and this is the Indian version of it, pressed into a tree-shaped cone that needs no stand, no plate and nothing to lean against. Set it on the mandir shelf, light the tip, and it holds its shape as it burns.
